MudShare was founded in 2014 to provide communication technologies to Municipal Utility Districts. Over time, our services grew and evolved into a suite of marketing and communication tools that are utilized by companies, cities, nonprofits, and political campaigns across the United States.
What’s Fueling Our Growth?
MudShare’s growth has been almost 100% word-of-mouth, organic growth by referral from happy clients. How could we possibly grow over 2,000% by word of mouth? Clients tell us it’s a combination of reliable software and spectacular customer service.

Peer-To-Peer Text Messaging
The growth of the text message marketing industry has been nothing short of explosive. Email inboxes are inundated with messages vying for our attention. It’s getting harder and harder for brands and campaigns to break through the noise, and yet 83% of text messages are read within 90 seconds.
Companies, cities, and campaigns are realizing that the best, most cost-effective way to reach a loyal audience with time-critical messages is via P2P text messaging. MudShare is on track to deliver roughly 300 million messages per year with no sign of slowing down!
We developed GeoDirect to help our clients add more highly-targeted people into the top of their communication funnels. Our Geofencing service allows our clients to detect people present at physical locations and segment them with demographic and psychographic data. We can then reach those people via social media advertising, display advertising, peer-to-peer messaging, or via virtually any other part of your omnichannel strategy.
Our retail, healthcare, and service clients have seen great success using GeoDirect to find and connect with new customers or patients who live and work near their locations. Municipalities and visitors bureaus are using GeoDirect to unearth insights about residents and tourists visiting entertainment districts. Campaigns and causes are finding new ways to connect with supporters.

In the last 6 months, MudShare has added three key members to its leadership team to continue to improve every aspect of our operations, our technology, and our client service. We will continue to roll out new features and tools to help our clients connect with their audiences. We’re also in the process of opening a new office in Kansas City to better serve clients across the country from a central location.
